Budget - Renting Car on mileage points?

Hi

I am needing to rent a car in Denver, CO later this yr.

I have points with airlines, AA, UA, NW, Marriott.

I am curious, if one of these mileage can be used for car rental? Is this wise to do so?

I will also have some AmEx rewards too - perhaps that also is an option?

I doubt it's wise to do so (eg from what i've seen for the "cost" of the points)
