Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - Three CX and one KA late evening flights from Taipei

From HK international airport homepage, I saw that there were 3 CX and 1 KA flights that arrived HK very late last night (or early morning of Aug 7). They all have the flight numbers CX 2xxx or KA2xxx. Just wonder if they are positioning flights so that the aircrafts will not get stranded in Taipei during the typhoon.

I flew back last night from TPE. The flights were not supposed to be overbooked, but the situation was crazy. I was originally booked on the CX531 (8:20pm departure). I arrived at the airport before 5pm. So I asked if I could get on CX473 (6:45pm). I was waitlisted and could not get on - first time ever for me!! I took CX401 (7:20pm) instead. The flight was FULL!

These additional flights may be for the aircrafts to get back, or to transport passengers stuck in TPE as they expected many flights to be cancelled today.
