Yesterday onboard CX841(JFK-HKG) while I was watching a movie, the FA offered me fresh baked cookies. They were peanut butter chocolate chip, and were delicious. I've flown CX in F many times, but have never seen the cookies before. Is this new, or just something that I never knew about?

AA and UA serves cookies on board in F and J on their medium and longhaul domestic flights as well as international flights.. They are usually quite good.. maybe CX are using the same catering company as them to save costs? haha

Lucky you! I have never been offered freshly-baked cookies on CX!

maybe a new thing for CX F pax to increase competition
This could only be limited to to/from USA only

Fresh baked cookies are, of course, a pretty standard feature on AA domestic F. :D

CX also had cookies cut in the shape of a star with icing on top for Christmas last year for F passengers.

Been upgraded to F many times over the last 3 years (not this last year though), including to US destinations. Never had fresh cookies, so this must be new.

I don't think CX needs to do anything additional to compete with US airlines.

IME, CX introduces new concepts into the F service from time to time. I once had made ot order ice cream sundaes (also something AA does) on the afternoon HKG-LHR flight shortly after it started operating back in 2002.
