I'm traveling on an F award CLE-LGA/JFK-HKG next week and I'll have a substantial layover.. around 6 hours of waiting at JFK after I take the shuttle. I would like to stash my luggage somewhere and get out of the airport for at least a while. I was thinking to go into town to go for a run in a park.
Is there a chance I could get the CX counter to hold my stuff for a few hours? I will likely have only 1 piece of large-ish luggage and I don't really want to check it cause I'll want to use the laptop on the plane... too poor for a laptop bag :( (but not for F? don't judge me, I already get enough heat from the FAs who don't understand why I don't want to take a cab into town :p) It would likely be between 9:30/10:00 to 1:00 or so. I know they don't have any departures between 10 and 3 that day so it seems unlikely they will even stay open but... do they? Or is there some other way to achieve my goal of getting out of the airport?
