No replies to this thread - but I very very much doubt that Alitalia won't be around in a year
Italy has a massive domestic market - with two large islands (Siciliy and Sardinia). If they improve their J international product and start operating outside FCO I actually see AZ doing ok during a medium / long term perspective

It should be allowed to go under, but until it works as a tool for politicians to practice demagoguery it will just be a very expensive choke collar to Italy's economy.
