RSVP Aug 5, 09, 7:54 am http://www.onmilwaukee.com/ Interesting sponsorship. They are spending quite a chunk of money on local advertising. I've seen AirTran banners spread out at Lakefront festival footage that has been airing on the local news. newsmanhoss Aug 5, 09, 8:45 am Interesting that a local website is "powered" by jet engines. knope2001 Aug 6, 09, 8:07 am They're also a new sponsor of the Wisconsin State Fair: http://finance.yahoo.com/news/AirTran-Airways-Sponsors-the-prnews-2230567966.html?x=0&.v=1 They're definitely working hard to get their name out there in Milwaukee. They're spending money on the advertising yet don't bother to place a hyper-link embedded in the graphic? If you click on the "Powered by AirTran" banner it simply brings you to or refreshes the home page. Pretty poor execution IMHO. I always thought it was great when airline sponsors SkyGliders. I just makes sense when people are looking up at the sky. I think Midwest used to sponsor the Sumemrfest SkyGlider and perhaps the Zoo SkyGlider. I think I also remember Southwest sponsoring the San Diego Zoo SkyGlider. newsmanhoss Aug 6, 09, 9:30 am Would you expect anything more from the AirTran IT team? The OnMilwaukee.com web team should be able to make it a separate link. AirTran's marketing people should get on that. mke9499 Aug 6, 09, 10:16 am They're also a new sponsor of the Wisconsin State Fair: http://finance.yahoo.com/news/AirTran-Airways-Sponsors-the-prnews-2230567966.html?x=0&.v=1 They're definitely working hard to get their name out there in Milwaukee. Of course, AirTran is one of many sponsors at the fair, but they always seem to get the most PR bang for the buck. I especially like the name of the racing pigs. :) http://www.wistatefair.com/09_web/pdfs/pr/2009_Just_for_Kids.pdf |
