The flight for 8/4 is zeroed out. I am on a one way F award using OZ miles. Will OZ move me to say, SQ in F via NRT, or would that be reserved for revenue pax?

I've never ever seen any bumps on Asiana.... And when I've asked, they've always looked at me like I was asking to fly the airplane. I believe years ago when I joined FT, I asked about bumps on Asiana, and didn't get anybody saying they had experienced one..... If you get one, please let us know!!! stargold Aug 4, 09, 2:35 am Even though they may be zeroed out, it is highly unlikely (nigh on impossible) that they are overbooked in F. At most, they might have to bump Y passengers. They might fill F and C with upgrades from C and Y respectively but it would be pretty darn surprising if F and C were overbooked. As such, unless F cabin itself is overbooked, they won't need to move you to SQ, even if the entire aircraft is full. ORDnHKG Aug 4, 09, 12:54 pm The flight for 8/4 is zeroed out. If you already booked, which is likely you have a seat already, especially you are using OZ miles. Since you have a seat, they are not going bump you. It is also highly unlikely F is full of pay F pax. Even they are going to bump you, you are more likely end up on KE instead of SQ, or even UA. They are not going to pay for the most expensive carrier to fly you in F. zrs70 Aug 4, 09, 1:22 pm Even they are going to bump you, you are more likely end up on KE instead of SQ, or even UA. They are not going to pay for the most expensive carrier to fly you in F. I know. But the OZ flight is at 2pm. KE is before that. SQ (to NRT) is at 2:45. poohhead80 Aug 4, 09, 10:05 pm I've never ever seen any bumps on Asiana.... And when I've asked, they've always looked at me like I was asking to fly the airplane. I was on ATL-DEN-LAX (UA) LAX-ICN. They were looking for VDB. Their offer was $400 cash, hotel, meal and confirmed seat on the next flight about 12 hrs later. My flight was 1AM flight. I counteroffered Business class without $400 - which they declined. So I did not bite and 4 or 5 poor people were stranded. But I do not think it was oversold. They did not count passengers who were holding United code share BP at one point and gave seats to standby passengers. ALL bump people were connecting from United and Asiana GA was desperately looking for passengers holding BLUE United BP after she found out something was wrong. 4 people including one couple took $400. bung_goo Aug 5, 09, 6:55 am I've never ever seen any bumps on Asiana.... I had a delegation of six people, all in Y class. My father being Aeroplan Elite (Gold) and me Asiana Gold (Silver) and no one else had status, they bumped all of us up to business. We were the only ones. So I think it happened because no one else was in C, and they overbooked in Y so they bumped us all up. The flight was a two hour flight from Incheon to China. By "bump", I was referring to being offered money to stay at a destination longer and giving up your seat, not getting an upgrade from Y to C or C to F. :) That has happened to me several times, but I never ask for it.... :D |
