Starwood Preferred Guest - Starpoints for problem resolution posting time

I recently stayed at a W property and due to a rather horrendous time ( ants in room, had to switch rooms 4 times and being outright lied to causing me to miss Entourage) one of the higher ups offered 15000 bonus point as of 4 days ago. They still haven't posted or been deposited. Any idea how long I should wait before I inquire about them?

I would send a courtesy email to the "higher up." Be nice, thank him for recognizing the unpleansant conditions and thank him for offering the points. I'd leave it at that .... and see how he replies.

If you want to "push it" ask if there is something you need to do to ensure proper credit of the points.

If you have not heard from him within a week -- contact Plat Concierge or Customer Service.

When I have had issues like this it has taken about a week to get the points.

I definitely saved the email so I have proof as well as his contact info. Thank you for the advice everyone.

15000 starpoints were posted to my account today. So 5 days was the answer in my case. Thanks everyone for chiming in.
