Does National drop elites that don't requalify to the next lower level?
Or is it a straight plunge to the depths? :p

National - Soft landing?View Full Version : Soft landing? izzik Aug 3, 09, 9:04 am Does National drop elites that don't requalify to the next lower level? Or is it a straight plunge to the depths? :p You would get bumped down to the level you qualified for. For example if you had enough rentals to qualify for executive but not elite, then you would get exec status. If you did very few rentals or none at all, you would get bumped to regular emerald club status. You may or may not get a new card in the mail but your status would be reflected in our system. EmeraldClubInsider Aug 7, 09, 5:38 pm ***** megmaguire Sep 9, 09, 12:26 pm Hi there. I’m a National Car Rental employee and just wanted to clarify: each Emerald Club Member remains a Member as long as he or she rents at least one vehicle with National Car Rental per calendar year. Emerald Club Executive Members and Emerald Club Executive Elite Members remain Members for the rest of the year in which they attain that status and for the following calendar year. Members attain their Membership Level based on the number of times or the number of days they rent a vehicle from National in each calendar year in the US or Canada. As Members move up a Membership Level, they are sent materials based on the higher Membership Level. Each February, Members, whose account activity in the prior year was insufficient to maintain their Membership Level, will receive materials based on their lowered Membership Level. This is called a “soft landing,” meaning that the member who is Executive Elite will be re-tiered to Executive. Thanks! drzoidberg Sep 9, 09, 1:11 pm Welcome megmagure. I think you're the 5th National Employee on this board, after Paminaz, rentalguy, StudentFlyer, and EmeraldClubInsider. We're sure getting popular with corporate- free lifetime Elite status for all? :) s3n Sep 23, 09, 8:17 am Welcome megmagure. Not Executive. My EE was due to expire Feb 2010. Then, magically, after my next rental, it said I had qualified for EE again, and now expires Feb 2011. Weird. Ron. |
