El Al Matmid - Anybody recently get an award flight LAX-TLV in C or F

Want to use AA miles, call almost daily with no luck. Thinking about Aug-8 -Sept 1st. Any ideas? Maybe last min they open up?

You are trying to book sort of a last minute award during the high season using partner miles ... good luck!

enter to elal.co.il serach for LAX-TLV-LAX flights (not award!). if there is discounted business available there will be award fare available (as the discounted business fare is the same fare as the award fare). that works only for business class.

1) In October, I got a C award using AA miles for a flight in late July, LAX-TLV. (I'm AA EXP.)

2) In February, I was able to get a second C seat on the same flight.

3) All thru July, I tried to get a 3rd C seat on the flight; AA said it wasn't showing available -- as late as 8 hours before departure (and calls every 12-24 hours before that for a week).

4) The flight went out with 3-4 seats empty in C.

From this, I concluded that YMMV.

Also, that LY doesn't offer every open seat to AA for mileage redemption.

Great, good avail when I look online from the east coast, not west. But when I call AA, they dont show C avail. Ill keep calling back. Thanks for your help.
