All Nippon Airways Mileage Club - NH 910 flying 747?

Hey all, I am flying on NH 910 on March 4, 2010 on a J class Aeroplan award. My itinerary shows us flying a 777, but I went on to ANA's website and did a dummy booking and while it says a 777, I clicked a seat map and it's showing a 747. It looks like they are selling F class as J on this flight, so if that's the case, I'd love to move up to the F cabin, but not sure if this is an error or not. Can anyone give me a hand? Thanks!

I think ANA already announced NH 909/910 is going to switch to 777-200ER from 10/25/09 due to economy downturn. Therefore, it would be 2 class. They don't update the seatmap as fast as it should be.

Even if they are going to use 747 or 77W, no, you are not going to get to sit in F as you are on award. I have done it also show my *G card, and replied a defiante no. They reserve F for for pay C customers who has status.

Thanks for in the info ORDnHKG. I called ANA today and they said it is still a 747, so I changed my seats to the upper deck. Guess I will just keep my eye on the seat map to see if it changes to a 777. Thanks again!

747 does not operate every day, even now they are using 772.

744 operate 9/2, 9/4-7, 9/9-14, 9/16-19, 9/22-24, 9/29-10/1, that's all about it.

Well the seat plans have changed for NH909 from start of October. We fly on 9 October and it's now a 747 and have managed to get 82J and 82K :)

No, NH 909/910 never sell F even if it operate with 744 or 77W. The highest ticketed class is C.

744 is always F,C,PY,Y. Only domestic 744 are 2 class, but they don't have the range to go that far.

Checking in online, all the seats in the first cabin are already occupied - I guess I will try again at the airport. I am on a C ticket.

They are most likely blocked F to get it at checkin.

Are you pay C or award C ? If you are award C, don't think about it. Base on my experience, when it is using 744 or 77W, F never full, as those seats are reserved exclusively for NH elites in pay C, not even *Gold, they are very strict about who is eligible for those seats.

Btw, even if you get to sit in F, you are still only going to get the one tray C meal.

Btw, it is not only today showing 744, it is also for 10/18-24, 10/31, 11/2-3, 11/6-8, 11/13-15, 11/21, 11/28-29, after that become saturday only for December and January.
