I have got a quick question for you.
I would like to make an award booking LAX-HNL-LAX on United Airlines, in F class (2-cabin aircraft), using M&M miles. The award chart for M&M awards from North America to Hawaii says 40k/60k/100k for Y/C/F class.
Within North America there is the rule that - on 2 cabin aircraft with only F/Y - the award level for C-class would apply.
Now I get conflicting information from M&M agents regarding the NA-Hawaii award: Some agents claim that on flights from North America to Hawaii, the "new rule" is that even on 2-cabin aircraft the normal F-award level is required for the F-cabin (i.e. 100k miles, not 60k miles!).
Is that really true!? It does not make much sense to me (e.g., if I would book a three-region-award from Germany to Hawaii in business class, I would be allowed to sit in the F-cabin for the segment NA-Hawaii, the same agents say).
