View Full Version : Nice success with mileage posting

I flew ZRH-DOH last night, departing at 22:30, arriving at 05:30+1. (The plane was nearly empty, by the way.)

When I got to my office at 6:30, I saw that the miles had already posted! Not bad.

In about 15 segments this year (one of them a code-share operated by another airline), the miles have posted very quickly every single time. Refreshing!

This was also the fifth time that I have flown a combined itinerary of Star Alliance and QR. Each time, I wanted to credit the Star Alliance segments to my United account and the QR segments to my QR account. (United is a QR partner, so I was worried that having my UA account in there would supersede the QR account and the miles would post there.) But every time everything worked perfectly. I am not sure if QR's systems are to credit for this, but I am happy to have avoided any headache.

So kudos to Qatar Airways on this count.

I signed up for privilege club after I booked my ticket - is there any way to link my privilege club number to my flights - can i do it at the airport?

Sure. But you should certainly save your boarding passes just in case your number doesn't make it in at the airport.

You can also log onto the Qatar Airways web site, pull up your itinerary, and add your Privilege Club number there.

How about picking up the phone and calling the reservations office?
