Other Hotel Programs - KIMPTON - losing/dropping Vancouver BC property

Just got an email from the manager there in response to my customer feedback survey. He indicated as of Sept 1, 2009, the Pacific Palisades will no longer be a Kimpton Property. :(

...and here after I earned a free night.

Really? That's a huge loss.... I've stayed there 3 times and every time upgraded to the topfloor Penthouse :-)......who's buying them?

Seriously disappointed. Just happened to log into Kimpton to book another stay in Dec only to find no more Pacific Palisades. Alreaybooked in the hotel for a few days later this month... Guess no Inner Circle Elite upgrades or any of the sort... ugh....:(

Just recently joined the Kimpton Rewards program and may be staying at a Kimpton Hotel "The Alexis" in Seattle next fall. I was noticing on thier website that you get 20% off on your bill if you travel by rail. We are taking Amtrak from Lincoln NE to Seattle. Will this apply to me? Does it have all sorts of "conditions" attached to it? Thanks!
