We are thinking of staying at the Holiday Inn Lisbon for few days. I was wondering if anyone has stayed there before and have any comments to share.

Thank you

Stayed at the Holiday Inn Continental - I believe there is another HI a little closer to the city center. The HI Continental was fine - rooms were quite nice, and it's close to the Campo Pequeno subway station, so transportation is good. There were a few restaurants in the immediate area.

Thanks for this info. I did notice CONTINENTAL and it looks like a business hotel.

I am more thinking of a hotel they call LISBON on Av. Antonio Jose (It is actually Holiday Inn LISBON).

greatly appreciate some reviews on it.

Thank you

I stayed in this hotel twice and enjoyed it very much.
Great staff, superb location, very nice breakfast and large, modern rooms with great internet connection. Classy 4* hotel at a very nice price.

You can also rent a car with Avis on the premises if you are traveling outside Lisbon.
It is close to the metro stop and the bus stop from the airport. There is also a taxi stand 1 block away.
Around the corner I had dinner at a great restaurant called 33. It seemed very crowded for lunch but was quieter for dinner. Great food with impecable service.

This is where we will be staying on one of our honeymoon stops:

We booked four nights for just $315 Canadian. It's also very well-located.

I'll report back on all the places we stay; this is probably going to be one of the best!

^ Very good-looking hotel too! Portugal seems a great country to find hotel bargains; the **** was very reasonable!

It wouldn't be my first choice of location as a tourist, but at least the subway system is close.
