Qatar Airways Privilege Club - becoming silver / gold

Hi,

Only a base card holder at the mo, after my return flight i will be silver but just logged into qmiles.com now and it shows i am silver:

Membership Number: 403725***
Membership Level: Silver
Current Qpoints: 90
Current Qmiles: 15,164
Qmiles Earned Since Last Statement: 0
Qmiles Redeemed Since Last Statement: 0
Qmiles To Expire on December 31, 2009: 0
Lounge Credits Available until December 31, 2009: 2

A quick question... from the above info it shows that i will have lounge access for my next flight in Oct even though i am not a silver member until i fly back in November ??? So my question is does my status change before i take my flight as it shows this on qmiles? (Might be able to get gold next year).

If you have not flown any miles this year it must be an error in thier computer. They are, generaly, very quick to post, but not proactive. As an example, last year I made gold on a fligh out of Doha. I asked at the Gold Lounge if I could get in and they said I was only showing up as Silver, so no entry.

You might not say anything and see if you can get in the lounge by having them check your record. However, after you complete your flights, you should send a detailed note to have them correct any errors, or you may lose out when they update things at the end of the year.

I have flown back in March which would have kept my current status so they may have upgraded me to silver as i would be at the end of my return flights...

I guess i will see when i get to the airport!

After a week or so if i don't get confirmation regarding lounge access.... i will phone them as i normally pay for lounge access.
