Hi all.

I have a six hour layover in FRA tomorrow :( I can get into the LH lounge, but they only have Tmobile pay wifi service. Does anyone know of any offers out there to get a free daypass or anything like that?

Any advice would definitely be appreciated!!!

Thanks :-:

The answer to your question, from me, is 'no.'

However, in some (might be all) of the LH Lounges, there are free internet-equipped computers. Doesn't help if you want to e-mail docs from your computer, but at least it's communication.

If I recall correctly, there are two options....one for 60 minutes for eight Euros, and another for a week for 60 Euros (I think).

Thanks. Not the answer I was hoping for, but better than nothing I suppose.

If you have a tmobile phone, you can add data to your plan (which includes wireless hotspots) and then remove it when you get back home.

It's $20/month and they prorate it if you have it less than a month.

Got LH miles? You can trade 2700 miles for a 60 minute access code.

There are a couple of vouchers up on Ebay.de, just search for hotspot gutschien, though you will have to email the seller to see if they are willing to email you the codes.

Uh, Germany... Roaming will cost $0.18/minute. Pretty costly for a 6 hour layover.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions!! You guys are fantastic :)

The ebay idea is a good one, but from my limited understanding of German, it seems like the ones on there can only be used on trains and in DB lounges.

The miles for a pass idea is something I had never heard of. I suppose it is a terrible deal really, but seeing as I have some orphan LH miles and would rather use them than pay T-mobile for a pass that seems like it might work. How exactly does that work? I just enter my number in in the lounge? Or I redeem beforehand somehow?

Thanks again. If our paths ever cross, a beer is on me.

I've been lucky with several club attendants

getting complimentary short time cards

I am pretty sure there is a link on the logon page to the M&M portal where you can redeem miles for the code.

Only kidding

I start with a little chat about local things

and see how she responds (I've had better

luck with women) then something about

being spoiled by other clubs priveledges

Kinda hafta play it as it goes

If it weren't for dumb luck I'd have no luck at all

I have no idea whether a Tmobile Day Pass from the Red Carpet Club would work, but if anyone knows that it will I'm happy to email the codes

They will not work, as they don't allow roaming.
