I enjoy using my GPS on United (it's allowed).
A few months ago I got a cheap Garmin via woot.com and it's great for my automotive GPS needs, but it isn't so good for looking-out-the-airplane-window needs. In fact, my old Mio Digiwalker has a much easier map to use (zoom in/zoom out/move map around, etc, and also showed altitude) than the Garmin (which doesn't allow you to move the map to see what's nearby, only to zoom in/out, and doesn't show altitude).
The Mio, though, also has some annoyances.
So, I'm looking for a cheap automotive one that has decent battery life and where you can press-and-hold the map and move it so as to see what's nearby your track.
(And if anyone has an orphan they want to unload, feel free to contact me)
