Hi

First of all thanks to everyone who contributes to this forum. I have used the info lots over the last few years, particularly on Thai ROP.
I have just registered and this is my first post.

I will be travelling business class on Ethiad EY451 Syd to Abu Dhabi on 3 Sep 2009 on A340 600.

Ethiad tells me that the single window seats are the even number rows eg 6 A or K, and that odd number rows are the single aisle seats.
My travel agent tells me that 7A is a window seat even though the seat map on check my trip shows there is no 7A (7C seems to be the single window side seat but this seems to jut aout in the aisle).

Second leg is to Milan EY81 on A330-200. I have the same query re which rows have the single seat against the window.

Can anyone give me the correct info?

Thanks in advance

Hi jkbaus,

From what I can see on the net both A & C are window seats with A being right next to the window and C being a seat width away. Take a look at this link for a pic that will show the A340-600 J cabin. It should show what I mean

Apart from that......seastguru seems to imply there is no 7A as well on the A340-600.

I'm pretty new at this but thought I would try and help as i have been trying to get similar info.

Good luck :)

Looking at Seatguru it appears to agree with Etihad. Anyway I am on one of their A340-600's next week so I will have a look and try to confirm this for you.

A340 600.

Ethiad tells me that the single window seats are the even number rows eg 6 A or K, and that odd number rows are the single aisle seats.

Etihad is correct. Even numbered rows on the A346 are true window seats. Odd numbered are aisle seats (and if you like having a window, those seats have some limited access to a window, but only if you engage in some contortions).

On the A332 it's also even numbers for window seats. A345 is odd numbers.

Just by the way: Etihad's real window seats are very private, but I wouldn't recommend them for heavier pax, as negotiating the narrow accessway to the aisle might cause problems (less narrow on the A346 than on other equipment).

I was given 11H for my JFK-AUH flight (I believe that's the A345, right?) and am a bit disappointed since no true window seats are available. Will I really not be able to see anything out of the window or will I be able to see something from my seatmate's window. It seems to me that these aisle seats are not as private as the true window seats.

Does EY hold some seats for check-in? Maybe I can grab a bulkhead window at check-in...fingers crossed.

OK, I was on an Etihad A340-600 from Abu Dhabi to London. The odd numbers are windows seats and very private - nice! I posted pictures at

Hope this helps.
