Asiana Club - OLCI oddities

I've got a couple of OZ flights booked (via bmi miles) for November, and am trying to select a seat online. However, I can't get it to work for either flight. The first, NRT-ICN in F on a 777, says "[SY003] This flight is restricted for check in service at the moment" and doesn't show a seat map at all. The second, ICN-HKG in C on an A333, shows the seatmap for a 74E and will let me select a seat, but will not store it.

I have used the OLCI system successfully before, so I'm not sure what the problem is. Has anyone encountered anything similar before?

I had same problem, but I thought because I was using firefox on a Mac (not internet explore on PC). If you're using IE and still get it, you may have to call. By the way, your flight may be changed to 74E.

OLCI and seat pre-assignment are two different things even so Asiana uses the same interface for both.
With this system, there are a lot of restrictions which make it difficult. Certain airports don't work, it doesn't work if the system things you need a visa etc. In case of your ICN-HKG flight the issue really might be a pending equipment change.

NRT-ICN in F on a 777 ? Rarely happens, more than likely it is also 74E instead like for ICN-HKG.

Yeah, I thought it was a bit odd, but that's definitely what it is listed as everywhere I check. For the HKG flight, I've just remembered that it was originally showing as a 74E, and has apparently been swapped to a 333, but the seatmap still displays the Combi. That might explain why it can't assign me a seat on that leg.

Oh well, a mystery aircraft assignment just makes it a bit more interesting :)

It isn't working in both IE and Firefox on Windows - I've had problems displaying the applet at all in Firefox previously, but seems okay now.

I think I'll send them an email and see if they can help me any further.
