I agree with CDG being a toilet, but I have a hard time believing that ORD is worse than FCO or Mumbai.

I have a hard time believing that ORD is worse than FCO or Mumbai.

I have seen plenty of folks sleeping fine at ORD over the years. In the evening it is fairly quiet for a large airport. Not the 'hell' as described in the article.

People complain about ORD is not good for spending overnight has only themselves to blame. Getting into town is easy and cheap. You can easily find 3-4* hotels on PL for 50-70 USD per night.

I have to say spending a night in ORD landside can be a miserable experience. Other than a bathroom, I don't think there is anything available on all 4 terminals. But I think this is the norm on most if not all US airports.

PS: I didn't know copy 90% of the content from other website is consider news article:p.

ok, your flight arrives at midnight, you've misconnected. You're re-scheduled on a 6am flight. Why bother going to a hotel for 4 hours sleep? why would you blame anyone for saving money. Most travelers are leaving on those early originators anyway.

Dubai? That's my only experiental data point in this regard. Man, that floor was hard and cold.

The only time I tried to sleep in ORD was during the day in concourse C with the dreaded chairs with arm rests.

I have since realized that not all benches in ORD have arms. Concourse F would have been a better place.

ORD is loud though. I had to wait until around 2:30 am once to depart and after midnight they start the "you must have a boarding pass and security may ask to see it or kick you out" announcements.

I have spent the night at a few airports, but have never slept in one. Airport environs, even if they are quite and dimly lit, just won't induce sleep in my tired body.
I have spent the night in the lounges at SIN and BKK and in the lobby before the check-in counters in OTP.
