Wow -- The TSA has a lot of catching up to do. Not even Alvin Crabtree, the gun-toting screener, can top this!

Authorities say two federal immigration officers from Tucson have been indicted for allegedly using U.S. Border Patrol credit cards to charge more than $55,000 in personal goods and services.

But... but... they passed a background check! How could this have happened??
DHS: UP YOURS! You insist that identity is "security". You are a bunch of lying sacks of ____.
Maybe I'm not too clear on a border patrol agent's job description, but why do they have gov't credit cards? I travel 80% for my company and have to put everything but airfare on my own card.
Sounds like a good case to take cards away from a lot of gov't employees.

My..My...My. Shame on him for Immigrations officers gotten arrested as charge of grand larcey. This is not good timer for you at all. That's why he failed to prior to get his fingerprinted screening before he can go to work but, they didn't found out for him is not having any criminal background check. I think FBI will have ordered to get fingerprinted screening all border patrol immediately. They doesn't have any justifications against the border patrol. He could be fired from his job and he will be disciplinary actions.

The Tuscon offices seem to have real trouble hiring honest employees, since you get a story out of there about once or twice a year about some sort of bribery, theft, abuse, etc.

I would love to say that I am shocked. But the adage is still true, power corrupts. ICE and USCIS agents have a lot of power, no surprise they abuse it.

I definitely understand the frustration there.
They're most likely not going to walk away with a deal. DHS loves to send people like this to jail. So do juries.
The article said the fraudulent charges ended in 2006, but googling theit names did not turn up any earler stories. They kept this one under the rug for 3 years.
