American Express Membership Rewards - Visa Black Card Banner Ads

Is it my imagination, or do the ads for the "esteemed" Visa Black Card appear much more frequently on the Amex Membership Rewards forum than anywhere else on FlyerTalk?
BTW, I love their slogan: "The World Awaits"... Yes, we are still waiting for even a teeny tiny fraction of the benefits of the real Black Card.

I veiw FT ad-free, but if they ar eshowing up more here there is a good reason for it. The ads are targeted. ;)

yep, i love their adds that have "celebs" who are card members, but ive never heard of a single one of these people....

I use AdBlock Plus - I wouldn't know.

Just click their ad everytime it appears. Gets FlyerTalk some bucks.

I looked through the benefits. It seems like the AMEX PLat is better in every way and it's $450 rather than $495.
Since Delta is leave Priority club, their airport club program is very weak too.
I guess the "patent-pending" carbon card is a little cooler.
Why would anyone want this card? Maybe because VISA is accepted more places.

I always click on the lastminutetravel.com $10 deal ads. I actually want to see what is on that page so the mouse click is useful to me and flyertalk.

You know him- he's that guy that refined the idea he got from Navin Johnson to invent the "Opti-Grab", remember? (I'm guessing V.2 has all the tropia issues resolved. :) )
