A North Texas man has a 17-figure credit card statement after a bank glitch resulted in an eye-popping charge.

This is what it looks like: $23,148,855,308,184,500.00.

Here’s how to say it: 23 quadrillion,148 trillion, 855 billion, 308 million, 184,000, 500 dollars...

Ok, so being the FT miles whore that I am, I immediately thought, wouldn't it be great if he had a FF miles credit card? :D

Right now I'm surprised they are actually admitting it's a glaring error and reversing it.

He should demand they send him an itemized bill.

Sounds like these are debits cards as the article says the over draft fees will be reversed.

"Late yesterday, July 13, a temporary programming error at Visa Debit Processing Services, caused some transactions to be inaccurately posted to a small number of Visa prepaid accounts," a statement issued on Tuesday said. "The technical glitch, which impacted fewer than 13,000 Visa prepaid transactions

So 13,000 people each got hit with a $13Q bill.

I wonder if they will cover all of the late fees/penalties charged by other creditors after checks/debits started to bounce?

I’m guessing the monthly minimum payment is in the neighborhood of $800,000,000,000.00 which is more than double my monthly income. :(

I heard the bill was in Zim Dollars so he sent them a Nickel and the debt was cleared.
