We stayed at the Crowne Plaza Downtown Minneapolis in mid-July.
We got in early and the hotel was able to accommodate us at 11:00AM, which was nice. The person helping us at the front desk checked us in pretty smoothly. But she was admonished by her supervisor (I assume that was who he was) for a transaction she had process earlier while she was working on our check in, which was a bit unprofessional.
We had a room on the executive level - 17th floor. The room was nice enough, but the door had some greasy, dirty spots - which was a little disgusting.
The Executive lounge is not too big, but nice. A decent selection of food at breakfast and the evening reception. The person stationed at the lounge was very helpful.
There is construction going on all over Downtown Minneapolis, which made getting to a hotel more trouble than it should have been. Parking is plentiful (unless you enter in the middle of the day when the structure is full of cars of Downtown employees), but the aisles are narrow and construction made it a bit confusing to navigate.
All in all, it was a decent place to stay in Downtown Minneapolis.
