Peru - Access to an airport lounge in Lima

We have over 5 hours transit time in Lima next month between an international flight and a domestic flight to Iquitos. We have heard that there is a lounge where you can pay to get access? Does anyone know about this? We will also have to collect our luggage and check in again for the domestic flight. Is there a place to store luggage safely?

What does one do for 5.5 hours in Lima airport?

Thanks to anyone who can offer us some advice.

I don't think there's a domestic lounge, and you can't get to the international lounges (there are 2 priority pass-affiliated) with an international arrival to domestic departure.

When I was there several years ago, the AA GM introduced himself after I checked in and escorted me to a small but comfortable lounge that was near the boarding gate. I assumed this was an AC, but on retrospect may just have been an area they were using to allow Premium Class passengers cool off before boarding the flight northbound. Don't recall whether I was headed to MIA or DFW at the time. Point is it was a dedicated area for Premium Class passengers. No payment was involved.

Several years ago the terminal was a third world pit. It is now a modern very nice place. Again, I do not think there are any lounges on the domestic side, and you cannot access the international departures area unless departing internationally.
