According to the Bangkok Post yesterday there has been torrential rain for 4 days in Phuket, mudslides and some roads under water in or near Khao Lak (just a fyi if you're heading there soon might want to check).
Also - Bangkok cab driver was arrested for raping a (I think Thai) woman and photographing it! He threatened to post it on the web if she reported it:mad: :mad:
The story said he was on parole for rape 2 years ago but "somehow" had been able to get a transport license.
I don't intend to stop taking cabs (and something worse happened in SF a few years ago by a cabbie), but just a reminder to be careful!
