Virgin America Elevate - Can I checkin the night before the flight (SFO)?

Hi all,

As the title. My flight will arrive SFO after 9pm in the night, and the connection (VA) is 7am next morning. I already booked a hotel nearby.

So I was wondering if I am allowed to check in my baggage upon arriving and then run directly to the gate next morning?

If the airline flying your first flight has a interline agreement with Virgin America (VX), V Australia is the only one atm, you might be able to check baggage through to your destination.

Otherwise you'll have to collect your baggage and go to VX counter...VX leaves from the International terminal so if you are flying domestic, de-planing, getting your bags and getting to the counter before 10P will be hard. If coming from an international flight, you'll be in the same terminal but have to huff it to make it through customs and such.

Doesn't seem possible. They probably won't take it more than a couple hours early but you could try. The check-in counter closes at 10P at SFO. There is baggage storage at SFO but it's probably not worth paying for.

I have not flown international with virgin however for CX and UA the counter will only accept bags within 4 hrs of departure time at SFO. There is baggage storage available at the Airport Travel Agency - it's a small shop on the international departure level open till 11pm.
