Other Middle East and Africa Frequent Flyer Programs - GF in FIRST or EK in BUSINESS

I have to fly BKK-LHR and have the option of either EK in J (I am Gold so bonus miles) or GF in F, this would take me to Gold agian with GF.

Thankfully GF have dropped their old 340's and replaced the route with newer aircraft, the BAH-LHR sectors are now on the 9W 777 Suites.

EK is the 380 BKK-DXB and again LHR-DXB but only in J.

What would you do?

F is always (IMO) better than J. Higher FA to passenger ratio, better food and drinks generally. Emirates can be spotty in J depending on the crew too.

Just flew GF F on 4 sectors and comfort is certainly dependent on which aircraft you get. Sadly, I had old 343 on the longest sectors and the new 77W and new cabin 343 on the short 3 hour sectors....:( I guess you know this as GF Gold.....
