Midwest - flying into IND through NRT and ORD

i'm a student flying flying from SIN to IND this august. found this itinerary:

Can i just check about the following:

are the transit times enough? especially at Chicago? do i need to clear customs and collect baggage to check in at domestic terminal at Chicago when I arrive from Tokyo? the transit time i have there is around 2h40min. will it be enough?

comments on transiting at chicago?

any other itineraries you guys know of that will be have better transit times and i can still use my krisflyer card to claim points?

Hi-

Transit time should be fine. You will clear immigration, collect your bag, clear customs, and then recheck your bag.

Once you exit through the doors you go up the escalator and ride the train to Terminal 1. Check the departure monitors, the ORD-IND flightlikely leaves from an F gate. If so, as your facing the counters you would want to goto the far leftmost security checkpoint as it's closest.
