Budget? Size of group? Dining preferences?

Paris buffet will accomadate groups of 8-12 in little separate dining rooms. The food is great and so's the service. Sunday champagne brunch will get the spirits going. Tip the servers and they'll sing opera. It's really a good low cost alternative.

Good luck!

Maggiano's!

In the Fashion Mall across the street from the Wynn & Treasure Island.

I have never had a bad meal there. Decent pricing for the strip. Family style menu for groups of 8 or more.

You MUST make a reservation.

Group size is about 10. Budget is of no concern. That Brazillian Place at PH was good. Any suggestions?

Bobby Flay's Mesa Grill at Caesars.
Strip Steak at Mandalay Bay.

I personally didn't like it at all - but Joe's Stone Crab at Caesars is loved by many and has a good atmosphere for a big group.

Off Strip, if Simon's at the Hard Rock is still there, that's a great spot for a group. So, is Little Buddha at the Palms.

Grand Lux at the Venetian. Food is great, prices are reasonable and it has a lively atmosphere. ^

I like 9 Steakhouse at the Palms. The food was good and the atmosphere was lively. They used to have a smores dessert.

Mon Ami Gabi at Paris -- get a table on the sidewalk (after sunset, when it's not so hot!) and watch the Bellagio fountains across the street. Food is excellent, too!

Joel Robuchon @ MGM (http://www.mgmgrand.com/restaurants/joel-robuchon-french-restaurant.aspx)

The current tasting menu at CraftSteak (also at MGM, meal served family style) is also extensive and phenomenal.

Do you have something against Alex @ Wynn Las Vegas (http://wynnlasvegas.com/#dining/alex/)? :p:p

Interesting. Grand Lux is an overpriced coffee shop. Might as well just go to Wynn buffet, way better food and pick and choose what you want to eat.

I was just thinking that when I went to the website. It reminds me of a Cheesecake Factory.

That's cause it is same corporate owners :).

Much better food than the Cheesecake Factory, IMHO. I'm quite a BIG fan of Grand Lux (way better than the Wynn's buffet :p, but maybe not Bellagio's). However, what it's NOT is a special occasion, big group, kind of place - but do keep it in mind for a quick, reasonable, and tasty meal sometime.

I'll put in a vote for Aureole at MB, where I had a great group meal one evening paired with even greater wines. ;) Also, Switch at Encore gets raves from a discerning friend of mine.

cafe ba ba reeba is a good recommendation; albeit a chain owned place, it is good for groups as the tapas concept allows for a lot of sharing and there is outdoor seating if the weather permits it. In the Paris, Mon Ami Gabi is a possibility; they have a small private area on one side that can be nice for a group, they also have an outdoor option, and the food is solid and pretty much designed to appeal to a wide range of folks. At a higher price point is Nine in the Palms; very good food, quite a scene, and definitely used to groups. Also in the steak genre is Boa in the Forum Shops; quite good food and a good bar scene.

Almost every restaurant on the strip is running some type of promotion at this point, ranging from prix fixes to early menus to locals specials. The hotel websites will give you a good idea. Nobhill is having a three course special that is very reasonable, and that might also be a good group venue; it's got excellent cocktails and a pretty eclectic menu as well.

When dining with a large group I've always tended towards the faux "outdoor" places at the Venetian or the Forum shops. You can be a bit loud in conversation and not bother other diners. I keep my fine dining to small groups.

Grand Lux is nothing more than a halfway decent coffee shop. And I have seen the bad half a few times too. PASS.

I too like the Mon Ami Gabi at Paris. Its medium priced but this time of year dont do it till its almost dark. You will fry outside. Great to people watch and the fountains across the street. Very good food and service.

Personally for a Big Group we did Smith and Wollensky across from Monte Carlo. These people excel at good service and the food is very great for a Chain Steak Place. Its more relaxed than some of the 5 Star places people are suggesting.

Kahunaville @ Treasure Island (http://www.treasureisland.com/restaurants/kahunaville.aspx)

All excellent choices. Also second the Mesa Grill at Caesars suggestion. One of my favorites.

I'd add Bradley Ogden @ Caesars and Bouchon in the Venetian to the list.

No way on Grand Lux, Maggianos, or Margaritaville. Nothing wrong with those places, but given that they are chain outlets that are in other cities, there's nothing special about them. Same with Smith and Woll, Capital Grille, Mortons, Cozymels, McCormick and Schmicks.... Why bother?
