I know that state law will allow me to rent a car but the rental companies that i have found so car wont. Is there any companies that will rent to a 19yo? Or can i have older people be a guarantor? can anyone help please.

You may have some luck with a used car mom-and-pop. But, even they will most likely view this as a huge liability and charge a hefty underage fee.

There is no such thing that I'm aware of concerning a "parent guarantor." Either you meet the criteria to rent the car with your name listed as the driver on the contract, with or without an underage surcharge, or they don't give out the car.

I recommend having the parents drive the rental car, especially if they are paying for it. Then you can book the car in the regular way from the usual companies.

I was in a similar situation last year, only that we traveled without parents ;)

The only agency which was willing to rent me a car wasrent-a-wreck (http://www.rentawreck.com).

Well, it was FL, but maybe you'll be lucky in AZ either. Just try it. Best thing will be to email the station of your choice as the booking mask does not allow under-21's.

Cheers,

If you are traveling with parents, why are the parents not renting the car?

I never rented a car until 21, but of the majors I thought Enterprise was most lenient with 18-21, but doing a quick search on their site keeps saying you don't meet the minimum age of the rental location.
