Marriott Rewards (including Ritz-Carlton) - EEO question

The free night EEOs are good for weekend stays only, and they define "weekend nights" as "Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday nights only."

Can I can use the certificate for a 2-night stay that consists of a Sunday night and a Monday night, or do both nights need to be "weekend nights"?

I believe both have to be weekend. The only exception I've seen is when some hotels treat Thurs at the beginning of the weekend, so you could stay thurs-fri and get friday free. Never seen one where Mon was treated as a weekend with a Sun night stay.

No go on Monday nights.
