So is it possible for (2) groups of guys who DON'T know each other to split a table at a nightclub and do it in a manner where both parties are protected?

Say Group A has 3 guys. Group B has 3 guys.

Rather than both Group A and Group B getting 2 tables.

Group A and Group B share a table. But how? One group puts it on the card? Second group fronts money?

surely there must be a way...

Sorry for not being clear.

If one party has liability from the credit card, from the other party just ordering drinks like crazy and also just leaving.

Are these friends of yours? Or complete strangers?

Group A would know each other

Group B would know each other

Group A and Group B are complete strangers to each other.

I'm just trying to find a way to do 300/person vs. 500/person

Seems a little sketchy. I guess if you're the trusting type.

Maybe the club will let you split the bill on two cards?

You do realize that drinks will go down quick in a table service. For example, Group A has 3 guys, and they invite 3 ladies over to join them. Your 1 bottle can be gone in say 40 mins or less. Sorry, I have partied too much where we planned on having 2-3 bottles per night only to end up having 5 or more.

Or are you hoping to get to know Group B guys better? :D

not only that.. but the guy ratio is completly out of whack.. bringing in 6 guys deep is not helping the case.. The normal standard will be a 2 bottle minimum for 6. However since it's all guys and you don't know anyone at Tryst, they may throw the 3 bottle rule on you.

You gotta pay to play. :p:p

In all seriousness, and considering that most will easily drop $200 on the casino floor in less than 30 minutes,

Is it really worth the trouble to 'tweak' a table service bill from $500 to $300?

I say commit to the $500+ tab, and just don't gamble that evening. ;);) (Which you probably shouldn't be doing anyway, as you have other 'interests' that will hopefully come to light during or after the evening @ Tryst.)

I don't understand why this is so hard. Group A puts down a card, Group B pays Group A for half in cash, up front. Further bottles are split or paid for by the interested group. It's not like there's a shortage of cash/cash machines at the Wynn.

The worry is that since the two groups don't know each other, Group B could order two more bottles without telling Group A, then leave the club before Group B closes out their check and notices an extra $500 charge.

If it's your card you tell your server that you and ONLY YOU are allowed to put items on the check. She will respect your wishes.

As other's have mentioned, get half of the spend requirement up front in cash (including half of the 20% gratuity). Additional bottles/items/food must be 1/2 paid by the other group before they are ordered.

This isn't that hard in my opinion....

If you order 2 bottles, it should come out to around $1,000 or so (as long as it's not some special event). That's a little less than $350 per person. 3 bottles will put each person at the $500 mark. If money is tight, I would just order 2 bottles, pay $350 each and party with my friends.
