1. Golden Circle members must register for this promotion online between 1 July and 30 September 2009 by logging onto www.goldencircle.shangri-la.com and clicking “Summer Promotion 2009”.
2. For new members who joined between 1 July and 30 September 2009, qualifying stays will be counted from the joining date which is subject to the enrollment requirements of Golden Circle.
3. Stays that are completed prior to becoming a member of Golden Circle are not eligible to qualify for this promotion.
4. One (1) free night will be awarded for every four (4) accumulative qualifying nights stayed between 1 July and 30 September 2009.
5. Only one credit will be given per stay regardless of the number of registered guests per room.
6. Reservations of multiple rooms, during the same stay, under the same name of a Golden Circle Member, shall only be counted as one qualifying stay.
7. A qualifying stay means one or more consecutive nights at any Shangri-La hotel or resort when paying a qualifying rate, during the promotion period. A qualifying rate is any published Rack, Corporate or Package room rate, excluding but not limited to, stays in conjunction with wholesale rates, airline and/or travel industry discounts, airline crew members paid by the airline, groups, conventions/corporate meetings, long stay rates and complimentary/free night stays.
8. Free nights earned can be redeemed online and used for stays at any Shangri-La hotel and resort between 1 October 2009 and 31 March 2010 except at Shangri-La’s Villingili Resort and Spa, Maldives; Shangri-La Hotel, Tokyo and Shangri-La Hotel, Vancouver.
9. The following black-out dates, in addition to existing Golden Circle black-out dates, apply:
For all Hotels: 31 December 2009 and 1 January 2010
For all Resorts: 22 December 2009 to 1 January 2010 and 13 to 17 February 2010 (both dates inclusive)
10. All unused free nights will expire after 31 March 2010.
11. Free nights earned are not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Members must be present and registered at check-in. Members can redeem multiple rooms during the same period.
12. Free nights can be redeemed after they have been posted to a member’s Golden Circle Summer Promotion online statement from 15 September 2009 onwards.
13. Redemption must be made 3 days in advance online at www.goldencircle.shangri-la.com or by phone at (60) 3 2052 3060 or email gcfreenight@shangri-la.com. Free night redemptions are subject to availability at time of reservation. The member benefit of "Guaranteed Room Availability" is not applicable to free night redemptions.
14. Members can redeem the best available room at time of reservation except Premier Rooms or equivalent, Horizon/Traders Club Floors, Suites and Villas.
15. Redemption for free nights cannot be used in conjunction with other promotional offers.
16. The redemption nights are for room charges only inclusive of tax and service charges.
17. Members and their partners (one) travelling together are entitled to applicable Golden Circle breakfast and one set of welcome amenities. No other member benefits are applicable for redemption stays.
18. The redemption stay is for single or double occupancy only. Additional guests are subject to applicable hotel charges. Children under the age of 12, limited to 2 per room, can stay free of charge when staying in the same room with their parents.
19. Redemption reservations cancelled less than 24 hours and 7 days for City and Resort hotels respectively prior to 4 pm on day of arrival (local hotel time) or NO SHOW will subject to a deduction of one free night. For NO SHOW, the entire booking will be cancelled automatically. Members will have to rebook again.
20. A separate booking is required when redemption nights are combined with paid nights.
21. To change the hotel and/or date of a redemption reservation, members will need to cancel the booking and make a new redemption booking online. Cancellation of any redemption booking must be made online.
22. Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts reserve the right to change the terms and conditions of the offer, and withdraw this promotion without prior notice. All interpretations of the Terms and Conditions of Golden Circle Summer Promotion 2009 shall be at the sole discretion of Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts.
