Other Hotel Programs - Golden Tulip hotels - do they compare to Four Points by Sheraton?

Never stayed at a Golden Tulip hotel. What kind of service, comfort, amenities could I expect? Do they compare to a typical Four Points in the USA?
Replies most appreciated - I need to book in the next few hours.
Cheers.

In general I would say Tulip Inn is more on the Four Points level and Golden Tulip is a step up. All depends on the specific property you are interested in staying.
I have photos of a small Golden Tulip room from Amsterdam in this blog post:

Last I heard Golden Tulip had gone bust, so as such I expect that they compare to a cardboard box under a bridge. Prior to that they were OK. Don't expect ostentation or individuality; that is not the Dutch way.

No I believe they have been taken over by Starwood real estate (Absolutely nothing to do with the Starwood hotel group!!!) So they aren't bust.
