Fairmont President's Club - LCD TV at Fairmont Royal York Toronto?

Anyone know if any of the rooms have LCD TV?

Or are they still the old tv's....haven't been here in a while.

In the last year I've stayed at RYH perhaps five or six times. In all cases I had the old tube stuff. BUT, I have seen flat screens in other rooms that I passed by. Don't know what the schedule is, but you can email them and find out. They are actually pretty good at replying to email queries.

Hopefully it's just a case of your bad luck of upgrades also getting you the rooms with the old tubes! lol jk

The last few times I have stayed there it was all flat screen. I was there last weekend on a Great Rates room and it had the flat screen.

Last time was a few weeks ago and still no flat screen for me.

Just finished a stay. Still no flat screen. Something like 0 for 8 for me....

Heh heh, other than getting lucky at the Chateau Laurier over Canada Day, nope, not really. Recent stays at DC and Montreal, got exactly what I booked. At Royal York, I guess it was an upgrade in that they agreed to change a queen bedroom suite to a double double suite. I'm so used to it now I have zero expectations for tangible upgrades (except when using certs). OK, though. Still like Fairmonts lots.

Just had a whack of friends staying there, same room type/rate, half had LCDs, half CRTs. It'll forever be a mystery why...
