I called the gold desk to ask them to fix some points that were missing from my account, and got a very long winded message saying that the hold time was between 1 hour and 1.5 hours, and that I could get a call back instead of staying on hold. I put in my number and lo and behold, several hours go by and no call back.
I call the gold desk back and this time, when it tells me I could get a call back, I hit 3 (I think) for more options and then select the number to stay on hold. Again, it says the on hold time is 1-1.5 hours.
The line rings and an agent answers. I was on hold for no more than 10 seconds.
Moral of the story -- I'm not sure. I just thought everyone should know not to believe what their phone system says.
