I would be very grateful if someone could help me out with this question: do Alitalia and Air One have allocated seating for their domestic Italian flights?

We have three small children - the youngest is just a baby while the eldest has autism and therefore takes a lot of looking after. It's just a nightmare having to run on to the plane to try to secure seats that are all next to each other which is why we never fly on easyJet or Ryanair.

This year we'll need to fly from Rome to Brindisi and back which is why I am keen to know what Alitalia and Air One do - thanks in advance for any advice.

all my flights on alitalia, and air france codeshare have had assigned seating. the italian attendents at the airports are a very considerate bunch of people. i would think that if there was not assigned seating, you could ask the gate attendent. if you bus to the plane, i would even think that they would call ahead to make arrangements on the plane if necessary.

In my experience, seats were assigned at check-in on both Alitalia and Air One.

You also can pay a little extra for preferred boarding or something like that on Easy Jet and be among the first to board, perhaps making it easier to grab the seats you need.

they do are.
also you can do the web check in on the alitalia website for both az and airone flight and select the seat you prefer

I will say that I've flown several times from Palermo to Rome and Milan. Plaanes were on time and got me where I needed to go BUT.... WOW!!! What a crowd on that plane! I really felt as if I were in the old country. It's a unique (but not bad) experience!
