Ever had to wait for the safety tape to play AFTER being cleared onto a runway for take-off?

Happened at SFO last month as the DL cabin crew couldn't coax the tape machine to roll. Instead of launching into the manual drill, three of them worked on the player. As we were positioning onto the main runway (and with perhaps four planes behind us), the FAs called the flight deck that they had fixed it.

Three minutes later, precisely at the "thank you for your attention sig-out," we rolled.

We've had to hold short of the runway at CVG several times for the safety video would finish. Those taxis from B15 to Runway 27 (all of 1/4 mile or so) are all too short for the 4:37 long video.
