Can one still earn miles through AAdvantage Dining when ordering take-out? I have not found anything in the T&Cs which would imply that its for "dine-in only", and just wanted to double-check.

Works for me on both take-out and delivery. Never had a problem.

Yes - will work as long as a registered credit card is used at the establishment on an mileage eligible day - dine-in, carry-out, delivery, gift certificates, etc.

For future reference, you may want to ask AAdvantage Dining (iDine) questions over in this forum: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/idine-rewards-network-400/

Thanks for the quick responses! And I will check the idine forum first next time.

I get 3X miles every time I order Extreme Pizza for our bi-weekly office pizza lunches. (closing in on 2MM, somewhat slowly this year)

And, welcome to the iDine / Rewards Network Forum. ;)

I have never had a problem receiving miles for take-out - and in some cases for tee shirts, caps, six packs, usually gift cards (a few exclude those) or other items - purchased at a RN / iDine restaurant with a registered credit card.

Poor coworkers :( I can barely eat that stuff when I'm drunk, I can't imagine what it's like when I'm sober. You should give Mozzarella di Bufala ( http://www.yelp.com/biz/mozzarella-di-bufala-pizzeria-san-francisco-2) or Pizzeria Delfina (http://www.yelp.com/biz/pizzeria-delfina-san-francisco) a try.

And if the idine restaurant offers gift cards or gift certificates, purchases of those also earn miles. :)

Yep -- Rewards Network only sees the charge from the restaurant, they don't know (or care) what was purchased. They've even encouraged the purchase of gift cards.
