All Nippon Airways Mileage Club - Best C seat on ANA 763 with 2-1-2 seating?

I will be flying alone on NH1051/1052 in C and have tentatively chosen 1D for my to and from flights.
Is the first row of this 2-1-2 config business class the most desirable?
Thanks guys.

The D seats on this plane are basically fungible, IMO. I like 1D for the "throne effect," though.
They have little lockers next to these seats for storing carry-on stuff, rather like what you'd find by the window seats on the upper deck of a 747.

The middle seats are all quite the same like previously mentioned, very comfy if you're flying alone. 1D for the 'throne effect' :D

NH 1051's aircraft was recently switched to a 777-200ER with Club ANA Asia seats (not New Style). I was automatically changed to seat 1G.
Does anyone have any experience with this seat on this particular aircraft? Is the first row completely fine?
Thanks!

I agree - 1D...
But, really, most C seats on NH are great! ^

Bumping this up a bit, since it seems to be the most recent and relevant thread for my question (found similar info, but may be outdated).
I am looking at flights in C on NH next year (Q1/Q2, *A award flight) and currently looking at SIN-NRT red-eye. It seems that by then, the route will be flown by 2-1-2 763 configuration. While I do realize seats are not flat so not that great for sleeping, I'm interested in knowing if they are improved at all over old configuration (2-2-2), and what are the overall opinions about that flight? I guess service is not as critical on a red-eye, but are there any red flags?
My alternative is UA morning flight on a 777, but I think I like the red-eye as it "buys" us half a day in Tokyo (this is vacation, not business).
And to stay true to the original subject - I had 3A/B in mind, but it seems like pretty much any pair of window seats is going to be about the same? (if I was alone, I may consider the middle armchair :) )
Overall thoughts?

I'm interested in knowing if they are improved at all over old configuration (2-2-2),
What they have improved over the old 2-2-2 seating is more recline, more legroom, and PTV with AVOD in each seat, that's about it. The seat itself does not even come close to the old CX J seat or old SQ J spacebed, as it is not even flat.

Thanks, that matches what I thought was the case. However, given the limited choices on an award ticket (UA *A award), and the fact that I'd prefer an overnight flight, I think it will have to do.
Both UA flights are daytime (and 777 C seats are probably no better if not worse anyway). And SQ flies the route using A380, which would have been perfect, if they only allowed *A awards! :(
Am I missing any *A SIN-NRT options?

SQ also has an afternoon SIN-NRT flight on a 744 with old spacebeds. This is the one that continues on to LAX.
