Can a moderator, maybe Kiwi Flyer, lock out your other thread so you or other moderators are the only ones who can post to it?
I also wonder that post # 1 might give a quick explanantion of NZ's cabin types - i.e. Business Premier, 'Old Business', Premium Economy, Space +, Economy, so that you can refer to those later in each of the aircraft specific posts? e.g. "747 - Business Premier, Premium Economy, Economy", "767 - Old Business, Space +, Economy", "Q300 - Economy".

My intention is this discussion thread we're posting on now is just really to be active while we're building the seating thread itself - I think it will still be valuable to allow everyone to post to the new seating thread with queries/comments that aren't fully covered in the seat posts, once it's complete.
It'll take a few years to get as massive as the old one anyway (famous last words, since the 787 and 773 are arriving!)
Great idea about the post #1 - that will make things a lot easier - I'll get onto writing something.

Oops, i think i see what you mean now - if KF or another mod could temporarily lock the new seating thread down so only I can post to it, until it's complete that would be great! (that was what you meant originally wasn't it - sorry!!)

Nice to see you back on the board, [b]airnzboy[b], and a great idea to update the seating thread.
As someone who is no longer a frequent flyer on NZ, much as I would like to be, I'm not sure I have much to contribute. However, I do know what I would find useful (both for myself and the many visitors from NZ for whom I seem to have been organizing flights for), and that is some info on the better/worse seats, including seat pitch, for the A320s and 763s. It seems that there is quite a variation from seat to seat, so all space+ seats are definitely not created equal.
I'm happy to report that I'll be back on NZ this Christmas, at long last trying out the PE product on the 744, and also trying the A320s trans-Tasman for the first time since the new IFE and space+ was installed, so maybe I will have something more useful to contribute after that :)

I don't think is possible. Locked threads are locked for everyone. If it becomes a problem a senior mod could help clean it up for you (I don't have mod functions in NZ forum).
