Hotel Deals - is this the place to request good hotel deals?

I can remember when this was the place for good deals found.
Has the policy for this forum changed?
I have now seen at least 3 requests for hotels in the last week.
what is happening here?

The announcements at the top of each forum tells us what's appropriate.

New threads inquiring about the best possible rates at a specific property or assistance finding accommodations at a specific geographic location will be moved to the appropriate Flyertalk forum where they will get a better response. from

I suggest you visit the destination threads in Travel & Dining and run searches.

The Hotel Deals forum is dedicated to the posting and discussion of deals not found within the norms of advertised specials posted by hotel companies.

Requests for rates at specific properties or geographic regions should be directed to the appropriate forum.
