Wyndham Rewards (formerly TripRewards) - Taxes and BRG and Ramada New Yorker

Just used a BRG (booked before change in rules) at the Ramada New Yorker and like everyone was charged taxes of around $48. I got nowhere talking to the manager and the guest services manager. Has anyone been successful in having the taxes reversed by talking to someone at Ramada or by disputing the charge on their card?

I was frequently charged taxes - it was in the T & C. However, there are only certain taxes that can be charged, so if you think you are being overcharged you might try searching through some previous posts that may have dealt with that.

I never worried too much about it but that's me.
