All Nippon Airways Mileage Club - Questions about booking online w/ANA

Hi all,

I'm making a PDX-TPE trip in late August and I have two choices, NH or UA. I'm pretty set on taking NH for what I hear is the superior service, along with the fact that I always like to try a new airline. While NH's website does work pretty well, I have some questions.

1) Is there anyway to determine what class I'm booking into prior to paying for my ticket? I understand from another thread that the e-Super Eco Value Fares book into W, which means 70% EQM & RDM for UA MP members. I'm obviously trying to avoid this and would be happy to book into e-Standard Eco Value Fares if that booked into C, J, D, Z, Y or E.

2) Since NH routes a PDX-TPE trip as PDX-SFO-NRT-TPE, I was wondering if there was a way to book into Premium Economy on NH's website. From prior threads it sounds like SFO-NRT should have PY available, yet I can't seem to select it as some sort of option while booking online. Related to question above, I would assume that PY would book into C, J, D, Z, Y, E or higher.

Thanks in advance!

For international flights, the only economy fares that earn 100% mileage are Ecowari Premium, Ecowari Premium Light and full-fare economy. Anything else you book online will generally earn 70% (some consolidator fares earn 50%).

You can select premium economy on the US website by de-selecting the non "premium" fares after doing your flight search.

Thanks for the info, joejones!

I eventually figured out how to book Premium Economy but for $3500, it was too steep for my budget.
