Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - Best departure time LHR-SYD
Hello CX FF,
I wonder what the best departure time is to keep the jetlag low?
Normal i take the CX 270 from AMS at 14:00, but the land at HKG at midnight AMS time, so i have a big jetlag:(
So i choose to fly from LHR, because of the evening flights and the cheaper air fare:D (E 2900 roudtrip I fare LHR-SYD)
I am now booked on the following flights:
CX 250 DEPT 18:20, ARR 13:10 (that is 07:10 AMS time :))
CX 111 DEPT 19:00, ARR 06:15
So witch flight's should you take (in J)?
Thanks in advance!!!
A CX fan!!!

What'd ya mean? I personally would reduce transit time, and taking the 2020 flight would arrive 2 hrs later, having 4 hrs of transit time.

Don't forget you will be arriving in Sydney very early. Given the fact that breakfast starts before your descent into Sydney, it will make for a long day. You may not be able to check into a hotel so early as well.

Have you looked at the 1235 from LHR...Only One Night flying with a late evening arrival into Sydney and then straight to bed. [Also usually no lines at Immigration and Customs].
Witch Flights are usually on Broomsticks:D Apologies I appreciate English is probably not your First Language.

Not to be nasty but I've seen these creeping up on my english since I'm out of school and have teachers giving me red circles- note the green squiggle:)

To be completely honest, I would go out of my way to avoid the CX250/1 rotation because you'll be met with the hugely inferior London based crew. Search for my posts and you'll know why. Have you looked at the CX254/CX111 combination? CX254 is the most popular flight out of LHR for Aussie-bound pax, IME.
