I have one, which I want to use to upgrade to F on a HKG-SFO flight (or vice versa). The upgrade is not confirmable in advance, just at check-in pending space availability. The flights I am looking at look wide open in F a few days out, but am concerned they'll tell me they don't have the catering etc.
Anyone have experience with these vouchers?
thanks

I was in a similar situation a month ago on the same route (HKG-SFO-HKG). I did get operational upgrade both times and have not used the certificate yet. I flew HKG-SFO on Sunday and SFO-HKG on Saturday (arriving into HKG on Sunday). F was full on HKG-SFO and F was ~ 2/3 rd full on SFO-HKG. Of course, my data points are fairly limited as I do this route once in 6 weeks in J and have a good record of operational upgrade. I am assuming that weekend flights are quite full compared to week days but I have not verified it.

I have used one in the past with no problems. A couple of clicks on the keyboard, a quick phone call and out comes a new BP.
Flight was about 6/8 full in first when I boarded.
