Hilton HHonors - Your choice of HH double dip airline partner after BD is gone?

You can earn up 3,000 miles per stay when you choose to double dip BD as the airline partner. Right now, that earning could be 9,000 miles per stay under the Q2 promo. The choice of BD as the HH airline double dip partner is arguably one of the most popular here in the FT HHonors forum as a result.

However, there are signs that suggest the days of BD may be numbered. It is unlikely BD will still exist comes January 2011, by the latest. When and if that happens, which partner airline would you choose as the new double dip HH airline partner? Some airlines also offer 1,000 miles / KM per stay such as Virgin Atlantic, Qantas and Lan Chile but unlike BD, they are not awarded per night of stay. Alternatively, you can choose to earn 5 additional HH points per $ in lieu of miles.

So who will you pick after BD ceases to exist? Would you consider foregoe the miles and just earn extra HH points?

My choice would be VS to redeem miles on Japan domestic flights. I just hope BD will remain the way it is though.

I usually post mine to Southwest (.5 credits per stay, even at Hampton Inn), though I've been posting some stays to BA if they qualify for the triple miles. Obviously if you don't live in a Southwest city, that would be of less value. Also, the fact that I need those credits to earn my Companion Pass each year gives them a higher value to me.
