According to the T&Cs, the $14,000 number is personalized. It's probably close to my average monthly spend these days.

I got the same through a Plat card, except it was for $8K spend.

Mine was 13,000 for Centurion. But no double on anything except monthly spend ABOVE 13000 and capped at 15000 (or an additional 7500 spend).

Finance charges, card membership fees and so on are almost always excluded as eligible charges for MR purposes - alas ;)

I received this as well, as a Platinum card holder.

Would be great if someone (moderator?) could modify the title so we don't end up with someone starting the exact some Platinum thread...

In the case of the OP this seems to be the number.

My offer levels were for triple points above $2.5K (which is about MY monthly spend on this card), capped at 5K bonus points/month.

So it appears the promo is trying to get folks to double their spending on the card.

Just got mine, which starts at $31K/month and is capped at 30K bonus points/month. Odd thing is that I don't usually spend but $20K or so on the Amex each month. I do spend plenty more than that on other cards, but not sure how they would know...

I'm a plat who got the offer for 3x points over $7K per month (right around my monthly average). Aren't they clever!
